Nobody should be bargaining with their destiny and their groceries at the same time.
Living in Nigeria right now feels like a real-life survival game. You walk into the supermarket and instantly wonder if someone added extra zeros just to prank you.
One day bread is ₦900, the next day it’s ₦1,500 and nobody can explain why except “things are cost.” Fuel? Transportation? Electricity? Essentials?
Everything is competing for “Who Will Shock You Today.”
But beyond the jokes, the reality is heavy, families are struggling, young people are juggling multiple side hustles, and even full-time workers feel like they’re volunteering for their jobs. The cost of living crisis is a mental health crisis, a survival crisis, and a national patience test. And yet, Nigerians still show up. Still work. Still “manage.” Still hope. That resilience? Unmatched.
But honestly… we deserve better.
