Driving shouldn’t feel like an Olympic sport.

From potholes that look like swimming pools to bridges that haven’t been touched since 1999, Nigeria’s infrastructure is a reflection of long-term neglect. A trip that should take 15 minutes becomes a full pilgrimage. Drivers swerve like they’re in Fast & Furious. Uber prices skyrocket because even the cars are suffering trauma. Beyond inconvenience, this affects safety, business, tourism, healthcare access, everything. Bad roads delay ambulances, destroy cars, increase transport costs, and limit opportunities.

Yet, Nigerians still adapt: memorizing the “good lanes”, warning friends with Google Maps + personal experience, praying before crossing certain bridges, buying cars based on ground clearance, not preference. We are resilient, yes but we’re tired. A country shouldn’t feel like an obstacle course. We deserve smoother, safer, saner roads.
