There’s a silent power in rising not just after any fall, but after every fall. In the world of entrepreneurship, especially for Black women, setbacks can feel heavier, the odds steeper, and the rooms harder to walk into. But every so often, a story rises strong enough to remind us that the bounce back is where the real victory is written.

Today, that story is Diarrha N’Diaye founder of Ami Colé, a clean beauty brand inspired by melanin-rich skin now appointed as the Head of Beauty at Skims. What a moment. What a testament.

Diarrha did not come from privilege or a perfect path. She built her brand with intention rooted in identity, culture, and community. She stepped into the beauty industry not to fit in, but to represent those who were overlooked. And now, her brilliance has taken her from building in a small corner of Harlem to sitting at the leadership table of one of the most influential global brands today.

This is what a bounce back looks like turning passion into presence, challenges into chapters, and dreams into positions of power.

Because success isn’t just about where you start it’s about deciding that where you start will never be where you end.

A Word to Every Black Woman Dreaming:

Your beginnings may be humble.Your resources may be limited.Your path may feel lonely.

But your story is still valid. Your vision is still necessary. Your future is still unfolding.

You are allowed to take up space. You are allowed to be seen. You are allowed to be great.

I’m so proud of Black women doing big things from a small place.Women who create opportunity from dust.Women who build without applause.Women who rise, again and again, until the world can’t help but notice.
